APPLY FOR RESIDENCY
Thank you for your interest in residency at the Next Chapter Reentry Project. At NCRP, we have a home for men and women transitioning back into the community from incarceration in county and state facilities. These homes are residential programs for women and men, and we take a holistic approach to supporting them through day-to-day life after incarceration.
We desire to assist, equip, and support men and women through teaching, modeling, and daily life together. This model ofre-entry can begin to address the roots that led to the cycle of incarceration and make way for deep, holistic, and sustaining change outside of systems.
Residents commit to staying in the homes for a minimum of 1 year and may choose to apply forthe Reacclimation Phase for an additional year. Through weekly Bible studies, peer-led support groups, meals, counseling, activities, outpatient treatment through our partners, and life togetherin a safe and healthy community, women and men can gain an understanding of Christian doctrine, rebuild family relationships, begin to heal from past traumas, grow in their strengths, and learn to disciple others. At NCRP, we are looking for men and women who desire a new way of living, are willing to be led, and will be patient with the process.
To apply for residency, please be sure to complete and include the following pieces:
- Fill out the Residential Application completely
- Carefully read and sign the Commitments page
- A letter sharing life experiences that have shaped who you are
- A letter of recommendation from a caseworker, counselor, job supervisor, pastor, or chaplain

Our organization follows a Christ-centered model. It is essential to inform you that this commitment greatly influences our culture, activities, and the guidance you can expect as a resident. However, please be assured that being a Christian is not a requirement for applying for residency, nor does it increase your chances of acceptance. We welcome everyone, regardless of religious beliefs. We are faith-based, not faith-forced. We encourage you to express yourself openly in your application and accompanying letter. We highly value honesty, embrace vulnerability, and appreciate individuals seeking truth. We recognize the complexities associated with challenging pasts in various religious contexts, and we maintain an inclusive stance regarding your current position on your spiritual journey.
