Testimonies

From time to time we receive letters from individuals that have served time in jail or who have volunteered and have been impacted by this ministry. These letters are a tremendous encouragement to everyone involved in Next Chapter Ministries and we share them here so everyone can see the impact Christ can have.
Andy Kilen
A Changed Life
As a final result of my poor lifestyle, I was incarcerated for 8 months at the Olmsted County Jail. While there, Andy Kilen, the Director of Rochester Network For Re-Entry, came in contact with me through a Bible Study, and the Benevolent, Merciful God that he preached was able to reach through years of depression and anger to unlock in me a desire to try again.
After leaving jail, I moved into Rochester Network For Re-Entry’s Discipleship Home, where I spent one year learning how to make better decisions, how to sustain life inside of community, and most of all, where I learned about my Savior and God, Jesus Christ.
I am currently enrolled to go back to school, am working a full-time job, and am sustaining a healthy lifestyle inside the community. I am also in the process of going through Archways to become a member of Autumn Ridge Church, where I feel comfort and community at its fullest.
